Pass The Buck.

Well Vince how do I get round this one? You are the expert in voting against your own policy.

Dave, you are lucky, you have always got some one else to blame and you have fallen on your feet here.

How is that Vince?

You’ve got a woman to blame. Spellman, wonder where that name came from.

But won’t people say I am picking on a helpless woman?

Look Dave, she’s a politician, know’s what can go wrong. When I stuck my foot in my mouth and got a pasting I just moved things around. Somebody else picked up the hot potato and it all faded away, there are plenty of problems around. Get IDS to come out with some silly policy, reduce unemployment benefit when there aren’t any jobs, it all looks so foolish, he has always failed at all he touched and voters will not notice another about turn on the forests, just because all the people cut up rough about it, going out on their mountain bikes at the weekend as if they really cared about the countryside.

Well Vince, if you can survive in politics, I shouldn’t have any problems.

True Dave, but you know what women are like, start crying, they cannot handle pressure, make a mess of everything.

She will do what her civil servants suggest and do as she is told. She will probably set up a committee, hide it away, ready to bring out later.

But  I do like the way they blame their departments, as if they have nothing to do with them!

Well they don’t, it’s the civil servants who run it all!

About michaeldouglasbosc

I am retired and live with my wife on a small olive finca in the middle of a forest in the mountains of Spain in Catalonya. I served 9years in the armed services, am an engineer and because of my love of navy sailing ships a naval historian of the 1700-1800's, plus the author of 10 books. When I retired I started writing adult books my first being A Soldiers Wind. Then came Stanley's story again adult books such was his life. Another book on life in the 1950's this very much an adult book. I have now returned to my love of the sea and my latest navy book 'A Plymouth Story' follows the life of Dr James Blackstock. But Clearing In The Forest is an historical fantasy set in the middle ages at the end of King Johns reign. All the books are published on Kindle and Create a Space in paperback. I have worked all my life and for relaxation I sailed a coastal yacht for many years, but deep inside me was a writer waiting to get out. So when I retired I started writing I find story telling both relaxing and - for me - a pleasure.
