Racial Hatred

The English as a nation are probably hated by more people around the world than anyone else.

As colonists we were not particularly bad, we didn’t murder millions of the indiginest peoples, like many other colonists. In fact we took into account local customs and beliefs then adjusted the laws accordingly. Perhaps that was the mistake, wipe out all opposition, not very humane, but that is just what many colonists did.

Closer to home Ireland was a continual running sore. The Welsh, you are never quite sure here, but they smile alot. Then there is Scotland!  Elizabeth the first may have been a great monach, but she allowed her conscience over Mary to over-rule common sense when she foisted the Stuarts on to the English Nation.  With it came resentment and hatred by the Scottish nation for England and everything English.

From the day those cursed Stuarts became our monarch problems have arisen endlessly, from the Devine Right of Kings through religious squables to insurection and rebelion.  On many occaisions Highlander fought Highlander, Scot against Scot but they always had the English to blame.

Now comes a time for decision.  I do not agree with David Cameron on many policy issues, however, it is time for Westminster to show it’s strength.  It is the English Taxpayer who is subsidising Scotland, Ireland and Wales.  If they want independence so be it.  But let the vote be clear and precise, none of this we want to rule ourselves but you can pay for it.  That has to stop!

Mealy mouthed politicians saying England has no right to comment, WE PAY THE BILLS!! that gives us rights.  If you want independence fine by me, but YOU PAY FOR IT!!!

About michaeldouglasbosc

I am retired and live with my wife on a small olive finca in the middle of a forest in the mountains of Spain in Catalonya. I served 9years in the armed services, am an engineer and because of my love of navy sailing ships a naval historian of the 1700-1800's, plus the author of 10 books. When I retired I started writing adult books my first being A Soldiers Wind. Then came Stanley's story again adult books such was his life. Another book on life in the 1950's this very much an adult book. I have now returned to my love of the sea and my latest navy book 'A Plymouth Story' follows the life of Dr James Blackstock. But Clearing In The Forest is an historical fantasy set in the middle ages at the end of King Johns reign. All the books are published on Kindle and Create a Space in paperback. I have worked all my life and for relaxation I sailed a coastal yacht for many years, but deep inside me was a writer waiting to get out. So when I retired I started writing I find story telling both relaxing and - for me - a pleasure.

  2. I’m just commenting to make you understand of the fabulous experience my cousin’s child developed studying your blog. She noticed a good number of details, with the inclusion of how it is like to have a great helping mood to let others with no trouble comprehend various hard to do issues. You really surpassed our expected results. Many thanks for supplying those productive, safe, edifying as well as cool tips about your topic to Julie.

    • thank you for your comments, it is always good to know I have helped someone. I recently wrote Formula One Decisions which I think lays out the prejudice against Lewis Hamilton. I am a fair man by nature and it really upsets me when I see injustice being done. Once again thank you for your comment.
