When writing about certain characters – Stanley Saunders and Jason Watson – I am also writing about women- strong women.  If you take the time to study social history, the acceptances and companionships of the times, you will see that most of the women are of a very strong character and not the demure creatures some books/films portray.  They had to be strong and sometimes even hard or ruthless to survive the times they lived in, this applied just as much to London during and just after the war as it did to the 1700/1800’s. Remember social attitudes you have today did not exist then. Yes there were certain things that were not acceptable (and are still not today) but then people were a lot less prudish.  So before you dismiss A Soldiers Wind or an East End Boy as having too much sex it it remember there was no television so affairs, sexual liaison’s and the likes were often a source of  relaxation for some of the wealthy ladies of the times.  As for the men well they just enjoyed themselves.

Book Titles:    Clearing In The Forest:   A Plymouth Story:    in the Stanley Saunders Series:  A Perilous Future,  An East End Boy,  A Caring Killer,  A Fathers Kill  and  The Politicians.  In the Jason Watson Series:  A Soldiers Wind and A Bengal Poppy.    Time Of Learning:

Since I started writing about Stanley Saunders, he has grown into the tough, hard, killing machine who likes sex and has plenty of adventures that I know. His story is most definitely an adult only read, life as it was for him in the late 1940’s early 1950’s is not for the faint hearted.

I followed Stanley as he unfolded his life as an assassin. His marriage, fatherhood and training with the SAS when they were just starting to become a regiment to keep him fit and his skills honed.   He then touched on Gillian’s problem with drugs, his taking over of the businesses, but always there was Stanley’s appetite for sex.  These stories are about life, the life of Stanley Saunders and as such contains sex and violence not to mention the odd bit of intrigue.  But as in all things there is love running through it, his love of Gillian and their daughter.

A Soldiers Wind

a soldier's windReturn to the late 1700’s and follow Jason Watson’s adventures both on the high seas and ashore in Jamaica.  Learn how he falls for his beautiful but scared wife and cares for her mother and sister. Meet his mistress Zeta whilst learning about life and social acceptance in the Jamaica of those times. Again this is a story for adults with explicit sex set in a time where anything was acceptable for the rich as long as it was not openly flaunted.  Having a mistress in the West Indies was perfectly acceptable and several off spring of such liaisons have made their name and way in the world.

But it’s the battles and skirmishes that will hold you, His meeting with Nelson, chasing and capturing American ships during the War of Independence. Life at sea as it was in the days of sail.  Jason had money and his life was considerably easier than most Captains but his personal life was something else.

This story finds Jason on shore in peace time looking after his financial interests and once again his sexual adventures rear their head.  His wife and daughter have finally arrived in England so a round of house hunting ensues. However it is Claudia’s insatiable appetite for sexual adventures especially with other women that takes centre stage, until that is, Jason is asked to go to China and try to do a deal with the local Mandarin on behalf of the East India Company.

What they have in mind is supplying the Chinese with opium in exchange for silver. Although it was banned by the Emperor, opium was the only thing the Chinese would pay silver for in those days.  So he sets sail and soon finds himself in kidnaped, tortured and in peril of his life until he comes up with a solution to his predicament.  Once again sex is part of his recovery and a marriage is arranged.  However, there is a slight military problem for his host but with his sense of battle tactics, lots of hard work and planning for the big battle it seems to easy.  The fighting is intense, brutal and very bloody, but eventually it is over and Jason gets the trade contract for the East India Company.  With a chest of jewels  in gratitude for his help he heads for home and his wife, wondering what has Claudia been up to while he was away???

Time Of Learning

51pBM9kgYCL._SS96_SH35_

This story takes a look at life in the 1950’s.  A time when teenagers were fumbling around because sex was a taboo subject and kept under wraps or behind closed doors or sold in brown paper bags.  A time where young people found themselves in situations that were considered disgraceful.  There was no sexual freedom, no one admitted to being gay or bisexual that was dirty, disgusting.   This story looks at the situation three teenagers found themselves in and how they coped with life, prejudice and the law in the 1950’s. It is most definitely an adult book as there is a lot of sex.

The book is now available on Kindle priced at £3, $3 and 3E in the following countries:
